Hi! I'm Alex. I graduated from Ole Miss with a B.A. in Journalism in 2010. I met my husband in Oxford on a blind date, and since graduating, we've added a dog and two little boys to our Rebel family. Memphis is our home, but we travel to Oxford any chance we get! My full-time job is in corporate communications, but I was inspired (with Holly's encouragement) to write a book that captures the magical spots of our alma mater - one that our boys would like to listen to and look at, and one that we would enjoy reading aloud. And I have to mention that this book was made possible by my incredible mom, Sue, who has always found a way to help me achieve my dreams. |

Hey, I'm Holly! Full-time mama. Part-time artist. Best wife ever ... or so I've been told. I live in Raleigh, NC with my husband, our three kids, and Mr. Barks-a-lot. I have a B.A. in Art from Ole Miss, and I love working in watercolor. I started Painted by Holly in 2007. I sell my original paintings as well as signed prints of my work. I also reproduce my artwork on several different stationery products. Illustrating this book has been a real dream come true for me. It is the perfect merger of three things I care deeply about: my children, my artwork, and Ole Miss! I am forever grateful to my friend Alex and her mom, Sue, without either of whom this book would not exist. |
